Tino Johnson for retroProm King 2025!

Tino Johnson moved to Athens in 2001 as a UGA student and, like many, quickly fell in love with the Classic City. A dedicated member of the community, he actively serves on multiple boards and volunteers with several nonprofit organizations.

Currently, Tino is part of the Jackson EMC Business Development team, working with commercial members across a 10-county service area, with a primary focus on Clarke, Barrow, and Madison counties. Before joining Jackson EMC in 2023, he spent over 15 years as a higher education professional at UGA.

Outside of his professional and community involvement, Tino enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. An avid runner and outdoor enthusiast, he embraces an active lifestyle.

A proud graduate of Coffee High School in Douglas, GA—Go Trojans!—Tino was deeply involved in extracurricular activities. He served as a local, district, and state officer in the 4-H Club and competed in both cross-country running and soccer. His peers recognized his leadership and character, voting him Outstanding Senior, Best Personality, and Friendliest in the Class of 1998.
